Red Hat 7.1 Installation

Insert the DVD/CD drive and boot the system from DVD/CD Drive , I you don't have the DVD you can download the image from here

1. Select Install Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.1, Click, Next

2. Select the Language English and Click Next to continue

3.  Here we have to complete the Items which is marked with exclamation.



4. Click on the Installation Destination to modify the partitions.






5. Click on the Date & Time, I select Asia/Kolkotta.

6. Click on setting icon next to Network Time , Select 0.rhel.pool.ntp.org.Click Done

 

7.  Click on KEYBOARD LAYOUT, Click Done



8. Click on LANGUAGE SUPPORT, If you want to select any additional lanugates slect and CLick Done.


9. Click On Software Selection, Here we can select the packages we wanted to install from the CD, I selected Minimal Install for Demo purpose, Click on Done

10. Click on KDUMP Enable and check the settings and click on DOne


11.Click on Network & Hostname, By default network is off, So Click on the Switch next to Ethernet (eno16780032) to enable network card on boot


12. Click on Configure to do manual network configuration. Select IPv4 in method select Manual, Click Add to give the configiration

13. Click on Begin Installation.

14. Click on Root Password to set the password

15. Provide the root password and Click Done.


15. If we needed to create any uses we can give the user name here, click USER CREATION. Click D
one

6.  After some time it will install all the Linux, Click Reboot.


Post Installation steps

17. After the reboot the screen will looks like this, use the username root and provide the possword which we given at the time of installation.
